Once again the need to inspect hockey equipment and safety regulations
is always a concern when playing this sport especially when tempers
fly. It seems both players were wearing helments but obviously chin
straps were not secured tightly. Always, the case in the older age
group. When an argument broke out between both players the helmet was
knocked off and one player hit his head on the ice. Hitting your head
on the ice caused unconsciousness briefly but later led to a comma and
death. Sad day for both families
