By way of introduction, I was branded with the nickname of 'Botty' in high school, and although it was somewhat of a 'Naff' tease from

my peers at school, It has remained within the circle of my closest and dearest friends.

My experience of motorcycles started at a fairly young age when I gave up the beach and my best attempts to master the waves,

and I gave into the fumes of leaded fuel and the freedom of exploring my 'greater backyard' of Kwa-Zulu Natals' South Coast.

Without being too self-indulgent, my intention is to include a brief personal glimpse into my early years of biking. Hopefully this 'work in progress' will develop into

something of interest for most readers.
