  No, the problem is reported in India also, from new. Some people have more problems with it, some - like me - have none. It is not the smoothest gearbox, you have to adapt to it. &lt;br&gt; Problem of bad service at bike shops is everywhere, in India and in USA and in UK. &lt;br&gt; You need to find a good mechanic...better you take the Pulsar to a Yamaha or Suzuki shop, then MUCH more likely to find a decent mechanic.

  Hi all &lt;br&gt; I havent posted here in quite a long time, i&#39;m an owner of a bajaj &lt;br&gt; pulsar 180cc. &lt;br&gt; Im currently having so much trouble with the bike i&#39;ve threatened to &lt;br&gt; throw a match in the tank. &lt;br&gt; I&#39;ve had the unforseen pleasure of having my crank cease around last &lt;br&gt; year november/december. Which isn&#39;t my current problem.

  Bill, obviously getting a license to ride is important and necessary but &lt;br&gt; hey, your choice: no license = no insurance; fines if you get stopped (quite &lt;br&gt; a few road blocks stopping bikes in Cape Town recently, I&#39;ve been stopped &lt;br&gt; once); what happens if you (heaven forbid) kill someone and you&#39;re not &lt;br&gt; licensed?

  Hi Bill, &lt;br&gt; It is not really that bad. My cost investment for my license was not that much. Yep, did the learners, did the course for the yard test, did the yard test and was through, all for under R500. &lt;br&gt; Time investment was not hectic and only took 1 day off work if I add the hours together. &lt;br&gt; Once it is done, you feel better about being out there anyway.

  Hi Vanessa &lt;br&gt; I have had a code EB for nearly 40 years must I really go and do a learners &lt;br&gt; again just to get a bike licence. More than half the morons on the road &lt;br&gt; don&#39;t have a licence for anything. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;I agree that being a new bike driver on should know what one is doing. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;But the cost is crazy: &lt;br&gt; Booking time?

  go to one driving lesson and practice based on the government docs that are &lt;br&gt; on line. Set out / paint out a practice area and that&#39;s all you can do... &lt;br&gt; practice. &lt;br&gt; both my husband and I passed first time, at different test centers, having &lt;br&gt; done the above. &lt;br&gt; good luck &lt;br&gt; Vanessa

Complete a practical course on the test process at a reputable facility so you know exactly what the test is about and how to do it &lt;br&gt; 2. Practice &lt;br&gt; 3. There is no time limit to the test when you do it

  Hi. &lt;br&gt;   Failed on the first test... rolled back one cm. on the first pull off. Must admit the instructions were quite clear, &amp;quot;Roll back and you fail!&amp;quot; I was over confident, and pulled off without using the foot brake to make sure there was no roll back! &lt;br&gt;   &lt;br&gt;  Next apointment in May and R200 down the drain.
