Update: now they are sending me email, but with the same offer ($20
for two years). But now they are marketing it as a free year, with
two years for the price of one. I think I am insulted. When they get
down to ten bucks I will reconsider.

Ok, but that's what I understood Mark to be saying. What Mr. Checker

I don't envy the police since in many cases they are not setting the
policies; it certainly wasn't Patrolman McNulty's decision to make sure
that those nasty free-speechers didn't disturb the peace and
tranquility of the RNC. They get to implement the policy and then, much
later, find out that what they were told to do doesn't pass muster.
